I think it’s gotta be official. I am the world’s worst blogger. At least by my standards anyway. I set out on this crazy blogger adventure in the hopes of sharing my self professed brilliant writing skills and the infinite wisdom and insight that I possess with the world, while making a decent second income from it too.

Silly arrogant moment passed, I honestly was thinking when I started that I write fairly well, and I could maintain a blogging pace that would merit the income. Well unfortunately I haven’t been able to maintain that pace, and the readership and site visits have proven it.

It’s been admittedly harder than I thought it would, and there is alot more to being a successful blogger than I thought too. The insightful topics haven’t been coming to me like I thought they would, and I’m still struggling with finding my niche. Not to mention I’ve been putting my family and school obligations first, which there is no question as to why. I have to admit a little discouragment with it all too over not seeing the results I’d hoped for, and especially not seeing the support I’d hoped for.

That’s my piece about it, the air is clear. I wrote this today as a, hopefully, new kickoff point where I can really take it up a notch and start blogging full steam ahead. The goals I’ve set are attainable. It’s just giving it the best try I can that will actually bring them to fruition.

I reminisce of afternoons as a kid sitting up in the crook of an old tree in our backyard, imagining that I was a dogsled musher while reading Jack London’s Call of the Wild. To being a geeky teenager spending his allowance on the first novels in the expanded Star Wars Universe, thrilled that my favorite movies were continued on in print. Even as a young adult, staying up into the wee hours of the morning, unable to stop reading the Harry Potter series.

Star Wars: In Concert Review

The greatest science fiction film saga of all time came alive as never before on Thursday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. It was a great spectacle of sound, light, pyrotechnics, dramatics and blazing lightsabers. Star Wars: In Concert brought audiences, young and old, rookie and veteran, a multimedia concert experience that featured a traditional symphony orchestra blended with rock concert thematics and a three story tall HD LED screen. There was even a museum exhibit showcasing costumes and props from the films. As a lifelong fan of Star Wars, I simply had to be there! And for those that couldn’t, here’s what you missed. Should Kids Read 20 Minutes a Day?

Education sure has changed since I was a kid! When I look back in my deep memories of what it was like in elementary school, I mostly remember fun, creativity, laughter, play and a fascination and wonder of learning. But interwoven within all that was a strong and long lasting education. An education that has served me well throughout [...]
